Join us at Headstone Manor for an evening with King Henry VIII!

The Cafe/Visitor Centre will be open at the beginning of the night, so grab a drink and snack before heading into the museum. Tudor musicians will be entertaining around the site, whilst you can discover more about the manor house from our tour guide, make Tudor herbal bags and enjoy the evening atmosphere.

The evening will be rounded off with a unique performance of ‘Divorced, Beheaded, Died: An Audience with King Henry VIII’. This theatrical performance set in 1544 follows King Henry VIII, the eighth of his name, as he engages upon royal progress about his realm and has halted to afford his loyal subjects, the opportunity to have an ‘Audience’ with their Sovereign Lord and King.

This highly acclaimed, two-act production has toured to venues across the UK and the USA.

Enjoy more Tudor music and drinks during the interval, and don’t forget to come ready with some questions for the King himself as he presents a rare Q&A at the end of the performance.

This performance will be outside and will not be cancelled if it rains, so make sure you come prepared! You are welcome to bring blankets and chairs (backless where possible).

This event is for ages 12+. Tickets are £11 and must be booked in advance.
