Thomas Coram and the Foundling Hospital walk

The story of Thomas Coram, whose campaign for the Foundling Hospital saved thousands of children and their mothers from destitution in Georgian England. The walk explores the original Foundling Hospital estate, and features Handel, Hogarth and the cream of Georgian society. The charity continues today under the name of Coram, and the walk is led by Carol Harris, Coram's Social History Editor. 

Tour timings

-- 12.30pm walk leaves from the Thomas Coram statue outside the Foundling Museum.

-- 1.15-1.20pm ends in the exhibition, with short intro to the exhibition. Tea and gingerbread provided.
