Conversations about Race is a pilot event organised by the Student Success Department and KCLSU, taking place on the 19th of March. The event aims to connect students and staff from BME & non-BME backgrounds in an informal context allowing everyone to engage in a dialogue about race. All attendees are welcome to share their stories and hear from others on this topic.

The event will be co-chaired by Janira Borges and James Asfa from Citizens UK.

Some of the objectives for this first event include:

1.       To empower staff and students to participate in an open, non-judgmental conversation on race between and amongst themselves.

2.       To gain insight into student/staff experience from a perspective of race.

This is a new format to build on existing work done by other teams at King's College London which seeks to create a greater sense of belonging for all members within our community.

Food will be provided.
