This episode deepens the renaissance of Italian instrumental music from the second half of the nineteenth century by exploring the complex relations between teachers (Ferruccio Busoni) and pupils (Jean Sibelius) as well as between inspirers (Claude Debussy) and admirers (Alfredo Casella).
