African, sacred, uplifting and fun singing workshop led by the unique and inspiring Mahasukha. A joyful, tribal and meditative experience guaranteed to put a smile on your face, uplift your soul and get you dancing! Beautiful harmonies, beautifully simple, simply magic! Singing is also a great way to release endorphins and boost your immune system, and Zoom singing is a great way to connect whilst we're physically separated. No experience necessary.

Please note that Soulful Singing on Zoom is very different to in-person workshops. The online workshops I’ve done so far have been really fun and uplifting, and people really appreciate connecting but unfortunately we can't hear each other. We can only hear one voice at any one time, and that needs to be me cause I’m leading, so everyone has to be muted. Zoom just doesn’t have the capability for us to all to be heard. So effectively you’ll each be singing just with me (until I play a loop or a backing track, then we’ll have all the harmonies) but you’ll see everyone on screen singing along. Yes, weird! Of course, if you are living with other people and they want to join in the workshop then you'll have others who you can sing with, and if they sing a different part to you then, with me, that would potentially create a 2-3 part harmony which would be a nice added extra!
(if you already have Zoom, skip this section).
If you don’t have Zoom, please download it in advance of the workshop at https://zoom.us/support/download. NB There’s no need to register or pay anything, just download the application. The download process should automatically start when the page opens. A drop-down window will ask you to open/save it. Just click on open and I think that’s it! Check in your Applications folder to see that it’s there. You should see the Zoom icon and the application name, “zoom.us”. Then you’re good to go! If you don’t have a computer, you can download the Zoom app to you phone or iPad but 1. the sound quality won’t be as good and 2. it would be better if you weren’t having to hold your phone/iPad.
