Most problems in life come from a lack of space, mentally and physically. The first part of class we open the body, now not the normal moving around thinking about stuff, no. We get 'inside' the body, feel where we are holding tension, learn how to release tension.
Once the body is open we practice standing, sinking the energy, elixir, chi, whatever you want to call it. We allow it settle in the body. Once this has settled, we begin to build the taichi engine. This allows us to move correctly, allows us to find harmony in mind and body.
