In December 1978, Vivian Stanshall - lead singer of The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band - recorded his meisterwerk Sir Henry at Rawlinson End; an LP honed over many Peel Sessions, thanks to the patience of the host and producer John Walters. In 2010 it was reVived as a stage show by Liverpool actor and musician Michael Livesley, winning an armada of 5* reviews in the national press and the approval of Viv’s celebrity fans. Stephen Fry said, Michael Livesley embodies to perfection the spirit and brilliance of Vivian Stanshall and adds his own measure of outrageous talent too.' To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Livesley and his band will once more reanimate the heroically drunk Sir Henry and the other grotesques who inhabit Rawlinson End, for two special performances in London and Liverpool. Featuring Bonzo Rodney ‘Rhino’ Slater on sax and Viv's favourite violinist, Susie Honeyman. Other guest stars to be announced.
