Yoga in the Woods - North London
Join yoga teacher and enthusiast Chrissy for a unique Yoga class basked in the heart of Queenswood in North London.
This is truely a unique experience to escape the busy streets of the capital and head into the cabin in the woods for some soul nourishment. Find it hard to believe that this is possible in London? Think again. Situated in Muswell Hill- Nominated the healthiest high street in London and a 5 minutes walk from Highgate Underground; when the class is finished you'll have no issues returning to normality.
Chrissy uses asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and short meditation sessions to teach students the art of moving meditations- commonly known as Yoga. When all three of these ingredients are working in partnership with one another, it calms the sympathetic nervous system which stimulates stress levels and the fight or flight response. Chrissy enjoys teaching her students to release and let go, playing deep with their inner child. She has delved deep into the birth of Yoga and its origins and really believes it has something to offer for everybody- Yoga is for everyBODY.
Using traditional yogic methods to create asanas with the body, you will be able to safely achieve the postures under her professional guidance and she will teach you to let go of fear. Her classes hold a mixture of twists, balancing, arm balances and inversions suitable for all levels. Whether you're already a true yogi, recovering from injury or just looking for some general fitness then look no further.
