Embracing Autumn with a magical yoga & meditation workshop on Sunday 18th October at The Core Clapton‬.

We all said goodbye to summer and prepare ourselves for the dark days to arrive. The winter months come with a time of isolation and the option to process all that has happened this year. So let's do exactly that, but in the most elevating and transformational way. Together with a few of the teachers of The Yogastasy we have created a Yoga & Meditation Workshop along side fascinating live sound journey in the heart of Hackney.

Imagine a workshop that you spend on nothing but yourself, that will offer improvement for every level you find yourself in.

Actual tickets are at £20 to attend the workshop and online tickets are at £10 for the people who's willing to join us via zoom.

In this workshop, we will be exploring breathing technicians, heart meditation as well as heart openers, arm balances, backbends, inversions and hip flexors. Along side wonderful sound healing from the beginning till end of the event.

9.45 Arriving
10.00 - 10.15 Meditation (Pranayama) - Opening
10.15 - 11:45 Asana
11.45 - 12:00 Meditation (pranayama) - Closing

Yoga is Ecstasy – a unique style of yoga combined with sound meditation. It is a modern version of Hatha-Raja Yoga, fused with the vinyasa flow and Kundalini breathing techniques. Presented with high quality speakers playing the sounds of mindfully selected binaural healing frequencies, taking you to a deeper meditative state, strengthening your physical practice by keeping your mind-body connection alert and inspired in the present moment during the event.

Yogastasy is more than a yoga class; it’s an experience that has been described as a dance of the spirit between mind and body. It’s a journey that will set you firmly on the state of ecstasy by practising heart openers, as well as inversions combining by heap flexors asanas leading to improved flexibility, strength, balance and concentration.
This is a complete practice of mind and body, aimed to connect you to yourself and others through the vibration of sounds and mindful movements. This event takes places over a 2 hours Live Act and starts and finishes with a short opening and closing.

Live Act - Michelle Cade (Mind Like Water)

Recently featured in The Guardian, Time Out & Mail On Sunday, is a sound therapist, music producer, DJ and Ayurvedic massage therapist.
Fascinated by the connection between sound, movement and nature, Michelle explores how music has played a vital part in rituals, raising consciousness and inducing altered states of reality for thousands of years.

Michelle Cade will take you on a sonic journey combining her signature blend of sound healing, ambient, deep melodic and tribal house sounds.
We ask you to kindly follow a few guidelines:

1. Arrive early. Doors will open ‪at 9:45‬.
2. No talking during the class. Yogastasy is a meditative practice.
3. No drugs/alcohol. Yogastasy is a conscious practice embracing mindfulness.
4. Phone-free zone. Please keep your phones off/airplane mode as it interferes with our silent disco transmitter.
5. Respect of self and others. We ask participants to take responsibility for themselves, but also to watch out for others and be mindful of their personal space.
6. We respect the current social distancing government rules by placing yoga mats 2m distance away from each other.
7. Wearing a mask is your personal choice while practicing (on your mat) but compulsory upon your arrival and departure.
8. There are clean mats there but feel free to bring your own mat (we provide anti-viral spray and ask people to spray before and after the class).
9. Bring your towel, blanket, water and your sense of adventure!

-What are your social distancing and virus prevention measures? We keep a large bottle of hand sanitiser at your disposal.
-What kind of music? Yogastasy music is eclectic and not linked to any specific genre although you can expect burning man vibes! We start with ambient sounds to bring you to a meditative state and start our journey with electronica, deep house, world music and ethnic beats before bringing you back down with downtempo tracks and finishing with a gentle sound bath.
-This yoga class will challenge you both mentally and physically. Why not strengthen your muscles while improving your posture and flexibility? A huge part of yoga is being aware of your body and reconnecting yourself to the earth. This is a great way to take in the sunshine and enjoy a moment of peace to start the day.
