Ideal for secondary teachers, school chaplains and aspiring school leaders.

CAFOD is offering new, free CPD supported by the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning.

This 2-day training course will resource and equip staff to support and develop young people to step up into a leadership role within their school community and take on a project with whole school impact.

The course includes:

 Exploration of leadership skills

Ways to support young people to lead, inspire and motivate others

Tools and resources to support young people to lead and take action for a better world

Ideas to inspire students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be active global citizens

Support and planning for a project with whole school impact

 Follow-up support

As well as the two day’s training, we will provide ongoing online and offline support to help you implement the learning from the day into the life of your school. There will then be a one-hour twilight webinar (date and time to be confirmed, approximately 6 weeks later) so you can share ideas and feedback on the tools and strategies you have implemented.

Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning supports teachers and school leaders to improve teaching, giving students the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to make a positive contribution now and in the future. Through connections with other schools, professional development for teachers and engaging learning resources, Connecting Classrooms helps develop students equipped to live and work in a globalised world.
