About this Event

For University of the Arts London students

Connect To: Creative Network is a student-led programme that is funded and facilitated by UAL's Careers & Employability: Creative Shift team. Together we shape the network and support students to 'make things happen' and 'try things out' by working on collaborative projects and fostering a sense of community.

Connect To meet up once a month, usually on the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 - 7pm.

At every Meet Up we invite an Creative Industry professional to come in and have a chat with us, so we can hear about their route into the industry, top tips and tricks for starting out as well as have a chance to ask questions and connect with them!

You'll get to meet with other students across UAL colleges and courses, be a part of planning upcoming Connect To projects and hear about loads of other opportunities & events that you can get involved with, (including £ paid roles) so you can gain new skills, make money or further your creative ambitions. Make sure you're at the next Connect To Meet Up!

INDUSTRY SPEAKER: Bafic

Speaker Bio: South London based Director and Artist, Bafic is our industry speaker for June.

Next Thursday is your chance to meet him! Since 2010 he has worked with Louis Vuitton, Converse and Kano. Find out how he did that and more at our Connect To Online Meet Up.

Here's a quote from from him on Dazed website “Film, film, film everything you see. Make fake stories, and go shoot them. Your phone is your weapon of choice, you don’t need big equipment and crews – an idea is an idea, it’s nothing until it goes into production and becomes real. Bring your ideas into fruition.”
