The Seattle Children's PlayGarden in partnership with King County Public Health Best Start for Kids initiative is pleased to announce the dissemination of our Inclusion Toolkit and interactive workshop titled: Say "Yes" to Kids with Disabilities on December 7th 9:00am-12:30pm.

Over the past year and a half, the PlayGarden, has been learning about the experiences of families of children with disabilities out in the community. We have compiled these lessons, stories and experiences into an Inclusion Toolkit. The purpose of the toolkit is to help youth-serving organizations and community spaces such as parks, gardens, museums, zoos, and even the ballpark become more inclusive of children and families of children with disabilities.

To bring the toolkit to life, we are offering a FREE 3.5-hour interactive workshop that will prepare people working in youth-programming as program directors, administrators and educators with the skills and techniques essential to creating spaces where all kids are welcome, panned for and supported.

This workshop will be lead and facilitated by the Seattle Children's PlayGarden's Executive Director and Founder, Liz Bullard, Director of Operations Adana Protonentis and Inclusive Programs Director, Hannah Gallagher. After you register the event organizers will send you an email with a short questionaire that will help us design the workshop with your specific organizational needs and questions in mind.  For questions about the workshop or to discuss any accommodations you may need please contact Hannah Gallagher at hannah | childrensplaygarden ! org
