Kaushik is a General Dental Practitioner in Burton on Trent in South Staffordshire and passed his IQE in 2005 after graduating from India in 2002. Along with being a General Dental Practitioner for the last 7 years in the practice working 3 days a week, he is also a Foundation Dentist Trainer in general practice supporting young colleagues in their DF1 year. He also works part time at the Birmingham Dental Hospital as a Speciality Dentist in Oral Surgery and as a Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the School of Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham. In addition he also holds various teaching positions such as being the Divisional MJDF tutor for the West Midland Division of the FGDP (Royal College of Surgeons of England) and an examiner for the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. Additionally he teaches on the Clinical Governance Module for the MSc programme at Warwick University. Through these roles, he has been fortunate to be closely involved in the mentoring of dental professionals at various stages in their careers. Kaushik is passionate about dentistry and has completed his MSc in Oral Surgery from UCLAN along with several other post graduate qualifications. He has taught on several ORE and MJDF and MFDS courses in Birmingham and London and has mentored several successful candidates. He has also been involved in teaching foundation dentists within general practice and lectures extensively on various post graduate courses within the country.
