Explore the agricultural science behind breadmaking with Bethany Econopouly, PhD. from 4-7 p.m. on December 7. Young girls (grades 5-8) will have the opportunity to learn more about Bethany's studies and career as a woman in STEM, while also participating in hands-on activities that explore the science of bread.

About the speaker:
Bethany Econopouly has a PhD from Washington State University and an MS from Colorado State University, both in agricultural sciences. She previously worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle. She currently lives near Philadelphia. She is the author of Bread Lab, her first picture book.
